Joe and Karen Servick, along with their daughters, Montana and Gracyn, have a long love of animals and have always enjoyed dogs as part of their lives. Every dog size from big to small, we've loved them all! Today we have Rue. The happy, little red faced Labrador Retriever you are sure to meet at the park. Joe and Karen also run the Lawrence County nonprofit, Kibble for Kompanions. A charity that helps provide pet food assistance to military vets, elderly and low-income residence of Lawrence County, PA.

This 4 week class starts your dog with the behaviors of Leave It, Drop It, Wait, and Stay. We will also work on loose leash walking basics and having a solid recall. A solid foundation with these skills is one key to a well-behaved dog. In addition to good manners, class discussions will give you an understanding of how dogs learn and why enrichment activities are important in your dog's life.
This 4-week class starts your dog with foundational skills of Drop It, Leave It, Loose Leash Walking basics and a solid Recall. Socialization and importance of building a strong bond will be discussed. This 4-part class will build confidence in your dog with enrichment activities. Building skills in meeting new people and being in new situations. We will also cover building positive associations with handling, grooming, and vet visits.
This 3 part class is all about teamwork between you and your dog. We will focus on leash skills and walking, engaging in activities that maintain focus on the handler. Together, we will strive for more enjoyable walks. We will work with a 6 ft leash and 15 ft. long lines.
This class will introduce dogs and handlers to the wonderful world of scent detection. Dog' noses are 100,000 times more sensitive than humans. Dogs can have up to 300 million scent receptors to a human's 5 million.
In this class we will first introduce the art of scenting for food - then transition the dogs into searching for a scent (Birch). This class is suitable for dogs 9 months and older who are able to be in a group setting
Rally is a team sport. You and your dog navigate a course, side-by-side, as you steer him through a course of 10-20 different signs. Each of these signs provides instructions regarding the next skill that is to be performed. This class will provide you with skills necessary to start preparing for the Novice Rally events.
